My Visit to Trans-pose
If you want to find your true feminine self there is no one better than Teela to help. After a series of
reassuring emails I went to “The Shed” for a really helpful makeup lesson. Teela has a wonderful way
of putting you at your ease and so clearly wants to make the experience supportive and relaxing. After
a “Tea with Teela” I could not resist booking a five star makeover and it was really worth it.
As someone preparing for transition a makeover was a chance to experiment with looks and outfits to
find what works for me. Ok as you can see from the photos there was some time spent being silly as
well – I didn’t really think 5” stilettos will be my usual look
Transpose, is the hub of a valuable network for T-girls and while she was making me up and choosing
outfits it was a chance to catch up on news and have a good gossip. The visits are just so packed with
fun but also with so many useful girly tips that our mothers never knew they should be telling us. Teela
is the perfect substitute for the supportive big sister we always needed, even if we didn’t know it.
I was so pleased with my pictures Teela has a real knack of applying makeup that will photograph well.
This was completely different from the makeup she taught me about when I went for my makeup
lesson which was for everyday use. Teela can’t do the impossible but she comes pretty close both in
her skill with makeup and the camera. I went away with a DVD containing so many images I have had
such fun sorting through them and selecting the ones I liked but there are plenty more nearly as good
and they will all help me on my journey to find my true self. But nothing will help as much as Teela’s
advice and the friendship of the girls who meet through Transpose.
